My wife and I were lucky enough to get a room, at the Laguna Azul resort, that overlooked main pool area. The view from our balcony at night, with all the palm trees and the pools lit up, was perfect for playing with some long exposures. As you can see it was quite a windy night, creating quite a bit of motion blur, on the palm trees an the flag.
